2024 Budget

The second budget meeting yielded a request to raise the levy.  At the board meeting on Oct 2nd, the town board signed a resolution to put the question of raising a levy before the public.

A public hearing on the budget will be held on Monday, November 6th. 6:30 pm The summary budget will be attached here.  Immediately following the public hearing the Special meeting of the Town Electors will start and the members will determine if the levy request will increase or if it will fail.  In 2022 for 2023 the tax levy was $2.75/$,1000 valuation.  Rockland is seeking to keep the levy at $2.75.  Because valuation increased and our debt decreased, the levy allowable dropped.  Expenses continue to rise.
