     ABSENTEE VOTING

Do you wish to vote Absentee in 2024 elections? It's easy!  Go directly to https://myvote.wi.gov.  Confirm that your information is correct and on the next screen it will ask you if you want ballots for the calendar year or just for a specific election. Check the appropriate circle.  Note:  Unless you are actually infirm or handicapped, please do not check that you are indefinitely confined.  Last, please include a photo of your ID if it is requested.  I understand that the voter system keeps them on file from year to year so if you requested an absentee ballot recently, you may not need to upload a photo. Absentee applications need to be renewed every year as they expire at the end of each calendar year.

VOTER REGISTRATION

Residents are encouraged to register online MYVOTE.WI.GOV. This site provides the simplest format and also identifies polling locations, ward identification and school district information. If you have changed your name, your address, turned 18 or older, or recently moved into the Town of Rockland, this is the easiest process.

To ensure your name is in the pollbook, you must register no fewer than 21 days prior to a local election.  Federal elections, like Presidential, US Senators or Congressmen require an advance registration of 47 days.

Should you miss those deadlines, you may also register online, in person in the Clerk's office or in person on Election Day.  Again, the only difference is that your name will not be printed in the poll book.  You can still vote as Wisconsin allows election day registration.  For major elections, it is quicker for the voter to have been pre-registered on election day.
